Welcome to my blog

This log cabin pattern quilt top was purchased on ebay. It was tied with wool with a cotton batting and vintage fabric used for backing and binding. Many quilts of this time period (1940's) were tied. This piece was made for a gift.

I have a great love for vintage craftwork of all kinds. The vision of Patipoint is to restore and complete the careful handiwork of others. Whether you have work that you yourself have never finished, or are trying to complete a piece made by a mother or grandmother, many have put their family heirlooms in my care for completion. Or perhaps you have an eye for the unusual at flea markets, tag sales, and auctions (online or in person)? Many pieces bought in these venues need some simple (or complex) restoration or or alteration for your custom needs. I can turn your vision into reality.

A perfect example of patipoint's creative modernization of vintage pieces, this crazy-quilt top was used in the contruction of a duvet cover. Vintage fabric backing with button enclosure creates the casing for a down comforter. Because of its light weight, this peice is used without its down core in the summer. Note the prairie points along the edges, a patipoint signature on many pieces.
